Mike's empire does fall, in the end. Joel has been worried sick about his son ever since he learned of his new hobby, and thus was watching the news carefully during the whole expedition (sadly for him he didn't get to be the eyewitness reporter for it). Gabe, tuckered out from heroics, gets dropped off at home by Matthew. 
And the show ends there.
I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that's been following the blog! This is the end of the II character weeks--but it's definitely not the end of the blog. I'm just not sure how I'll structure my next posts, is all.
I couldn't go anywhere without you! I wasn't even sure I could do this, considering talking about a single story for more than a month at a time is usually unheard of for me, and yet this has been going for almost four!
Through your interest and my determination, the II folder in my computer has 350 files in it! That's the most amount of content any story of mine has received. The character weeks were put in place in the hope this would happen, and boy, did it ever!
Incidentally, this is also the 100th post in the blog! Lots of milestones today!
So again, thank you, thank you, thank you! And stay tuned!
