The guard introduces himself as EdX-307, claiming that he has sentience, and he wants to help them escape. This seems too nice for the party, however, and they're still highly suspicious. Bryan is especially hostile, since he hates the robots so much; he fears that this is just a ploy to experiment on him more.
As a note: Bryan's gun is disabled in the camp except in testing areas, to prevent him from shooting anyone. Only the guards can "unlock" it--and EdX does so.
