The story starts with Zachary Nichols, a son to very rich parents, but unfortunately diagnosed with a disease called corpossitis, for which there is no cure. His life expectancy was capped at 20.
However, because of his parents' wealth, they put a lot of funding into a program that could, if not cure the disease, at least lengthen their son's life.
But this meant that Zachary became quite the guinea pig.
Procedure after procedure, experiment after experiment, he pretty much grew up in the hospital. He met a girl with leukemia there, named Amy:
They became good friends, but Amy was eventually discharged. Alone in their respective lives, they missed each other. Puppy love at its finest, no?
