Since I'm going to be roleplaying there soon, let's talk about a different alien planet named Etran--oh, I mean Novus de Etran. They changed it ever since their apocalypse.
A little history; Etran's always a name I've used for corrupted things, of sorts. It's either a dictatorship country, or just flat out messed up. The capital of the RR country is named Etran, for instance.
Etran is (er, was) a planet like our own, with the Etrani residents dominating the planet and advancing greatly in technology. Perhaps they advanced too much; soon a war broke out involving mutagenic bombs. (Think what people thought radiation could do back in the '50s, it's kind of like that.) In short, the entire planet was affected, with technology lost or useless, the countrysides a wasteland, and the species of the planet devolving, mutating, or just generally shifting to the worst.
They're pretty feeble now.
The main Etrani character I focus on is Lancaster Devonia, a former electrician. There's not much an electrician is needed for now, though. Plus, some mutagen got his hand once, and he lopped it off to prevent its spread. He also glows a bit in the dark, much to his embarrassment.
He used to look like this:
He worked for this one scientist guy once, Dr. Kristofe Kline, who somehow is still rather normal, an "Old World" Etrani.
He does many experiments with the mutagen, and a little bit of phase distortion on the side. Some people think he might have escaped to another dimension while the war was going on, hence why he came out unscathed. But he claims that kind of technology isn't done yet.
Lastly, have some more concepts.
The one on the end next to the girl is a golem of sorts, a kind of organic robot they have, mainly used as assistants.

In the last picture, the one on the end sort of remins me of the RE4 merchant. Just has that shady look about him.
ReplyDeleteI like the organic robot, too. Hell, I can't help but sort of like all the Etrani.
