On and off I've been thinking of a Pikmin-like RTS involving the qliph, which explains the sudden resurgence of doodles for them, more fleshing out of the world, and the redesign.
It centers around the Tribe of Lehirod, a small community formed out of the ashes of an old one, devastated by a loriq attack.
A loriq is the first doodle in this post. They stab their victims with their proboscis/beak thing and dissolve them from the inside out.
There are four survivors of the original tribe, and throughout the game they recruit more and more members:
First we have Lehirod and Oneron. Lehirod is a young hero, thus he decided to take the initiative to create the tribe anew. The "flag" is the remains of the old leader's wardrobe. Oneron is a seer, but his powers were discovered too late--he foresaw the monster attack, but it was written off as a childhood nightmare.
Vinder and Eqlio are both warriors. Vinder gets his wounds from the attack, and Eqlio is beginning to get senile, but he still helps a lot in the early parts of the game (time flows throughout the plot, y'see).
