Retrospective, Day 5

Time for possibly the least-covered series that I consider a "main" story ever!I mean this is like the only colored picture in its folder. The story never got a name, so I just call it "X" (I would reaaaaally like something better though), since the main character doesn't have a name, either. I see it as an animated movie, or a short series. X is a 15 year old kid in a fantasy land where nearly every mythological creature exists, but is true to their roots (so leprechauns actually wear red, fairies look like humans, etc.). However, he's of the firm belief that he's the only human left.He doesn't know how the rest "died" or "disappeared," but he's never met one in his entire life (not even his parents--he was apparently swapped for a changeling and raised by fairies). He also seems to have a great deal of empathy and can tell what someone else's true emotion is, regardless if they hide it. He's sort of my take on the stereotypical "young and badass" hero of anime epics...did I mention he can fly a biplane? But his gets crashed early on.A lot of the island-nations (the planet it takes place on is mostly water and islands) seem to be racist against humans, so a good chunk of the first part is him fleeing while trying to get answers, and possibly befriending the "outcast" races; those that are considered monsters by many but still have souls.Helix and Angelo are just that: a ghost and a vampire X meets when he's thrown into prison. They taunt him first, but eventually he convinces them to help him break out.X never stays with a definite cast of "party members," he's a true loner and befriends various people throughout. Later on he encounters Tokarz and Zwei, an elf and a homunculus that offer him shelter (well, Tokarz does, Zwei just kinda shambles about and mumbles).Don is another cameo (he is a therianthrope). And there's this shadow guy that keeps following him around...Unfortunately I never developed what the big reveal about humans actually was, so that's perhaps why the story hit such a snag, because it's really fun! I'm pretty bad at drawing fantasy creatures that aren't humanoid though, so if it makes a resurgence I'll have to work on that too. Cuz I really like the concept. Here, have a doodle dump.
