Retrospective, Day 6

Well I just got done with Dreamweavers on my Spyro runthrough, so how about some downright bizarre? This is 3rd Level, a platformer idea I had last year that stars Charter Vis, a guy with five personalities. (And yes that same camo pattern is used for Salem's pants in RR.)3L was another story that falls under the "great idea, but it didn't get fleshed out enough" banner I seem to end up with so often. But it was definitely my weirdest story ever. It starts out with Charter waking up on an operating table in the dark, abducted by a police regiment in Level -1 that's composed of all women.Did I mention Charter's the only one who looks completely human? That's Catherine, who serves as the "main" police lady as she keeps in contact with him through the Levels.See, the world is stacked vertically with different, but closely related dimensions, and the police squad of -1 wants to take down a dictator on Level 3. Charter has nothing better to do, and he has five different powers to go with his five personalities, so why not? (And I lied, only Charter and Maelstrom look human, but Maelstrom isn't shown till the end, so yeah.)Yeah, the plot's pretty thin, but that's on purpose. 3L is a world where video game conventions such as floating platforms and weird unexplained characters are natural. As Charter goes up through the Levels he sees Maelstrom's influence further; the most notable being the Gray Army, which is a troop of identical organic robots that are made in factories. Charter unfortunately gets identified by one and thus one tags along with him for a while (his model number being EdX-307 in a shout out to RR).3L didn't need much fleshing out in plot, but what it needs more of is characters. Video games need their characters, and 3L was a challenge to force me to make things that're not quite human for once.

So have a character concept dump.
